Bonding

Bonding is a dental procedure in which composite resin is adhered to the tooth in order to improve the appearance of your smile. It repairs chips, cracks and broken teeth and also covers badly stained teeth.

When patients have gaps on their teeth, the bonding procedure can be used to fill in the space between them. Bonding is used in cosmetic dentistry because it gives a natural look by rebuilding your teeth and improving your smile.

The first step for the bonding procedure is the dentist choosing a composite resin that matches the natural color of your teeth. The dentist prepares the tooth and applies the composite resin that is dried and hardened with a curing light. In order to give the tooth a good appearance, it is buffed and polished.
